The Glenwood Family Resource Center was established to be a link for children and their families with Glenwood Elementary and the community. The Center offers a playgroup for 2 & 3's, a kindergarten readiness class for upcoming 5's, and a parent/child playgroup. The Center also offers Reading Adventures Family Nights, Circle of Parents Support Groups and various parent education classes. The Center also offers a food closet (along with Glenwood Baptist Church) and help with resources in the community.
This program is funded by Smart Start and a grant made available by DHHS.
Class Announcements SugarPlum Tree FarmWhen: Monday, December 5th
Time: Leaving the church at 9:00am Where: Isaac's Branch Rd Plumtree NC Cost: $4.50 per person Please remember to dress in layers. We never know what the weather will be like across the mountain. You will need a lunch and drink. The kids will get to hear Mrs. Claus read a book, visit with Santa, drink hot chocolate, take a wagon ride up the mountain, roast marshmallows and visit Santa's Workshop. This is a great trip for the whole family. Hope everyone can attend. Oh and you can choose and cut your own tree if you wish. Monthly fees DueThursday, November 29th and Friday, November 30th. Please have money ready when you drop your child off.

Book Bag (this must be big enough to hold a three ring binder) Facial Tissues Disinfecting Wipes (Clorox, Lysol, etc.) Copy Paper (2 packs) Hand Sanitizer Kindergarten Paper Notepad (the notepads with the large ruled lines) Change of Clothing to keep in your book bag More info will be given at the parent meeting Tuesday and Thursday Book Bag Change of clothing to keep in your book bag Disinfecting Wipes (Clorox, Lysol, Etc.) Copy Paper (2 packs) Facial Tissue Juice (preferable juice that is not high in sugar content) Thanks Snack items (Gold Fish, Gummies, pudding, crackers, etc.) Lysol Spray (or generic brand) Sippy Cup with child's name written on it More info to come during Parent Meetings. Circle of Parents Mom GroupThe Circle of Parents Support Group meets once a week.
