The Glenwood Family Resource Center was established to be a link for children and their families with Glenwood Elementary and the community. The Center offers a playgroup for 2 & 3's, a kindergarten readiness class for upcoming 5's, and a parent/child playgroup. The Center also offers Reading Adventures Family Nights, Circle of Parents Support Groups and various parent education classes. The Center also offers a food closet (along with Glenwood Baptist Church) and help with resources in the community.
This program is funded by Smart Start and a grant made available by DHHS.
Class Announcements Parent MeetingEvery child is required to have a parent present at the "Beginning of the school year" parent meeting. This is when we will be going over policies and procedures, sign paperwork and discussing any issue that you may have about the upcoming year. If so some reason you can not attend please make arrangements to meet with me to go over this information.

Book Bag Glue sticks Facial Tissue Disinfecting Wipes (Clorox, Lysol, etc.) Copy Paper Change of Clothing to keep in your book bag Tuesday and Thursday Book Bag Change of clothing to keep in your book bag Disinfecting Wipes (Clorox, Lysol, Etc.) Copy Paper Facial Tissue Juice (preferable juice that is not high in sugar content) Thanks Snack items (Gold Fish, Gummies, pudding, crackers, etc.) 2010-11 School YearClasses for the Family Resource Center will begin on Monday August 30th.
2010-11 Open RegistrationThe GFRC will hold an open registration on Thursday August 19th starting at 8:00 am for the upcoming school year. If you are interested in signing up for either the Monday, Wednesday and Friday (4yr Old class) or the Tuesday, Thursday (2 & 3 Year old class) you will need to stop by on this day to register. Circle of Parents Mom GroupThe Circle of Parents Support Group meets once a week. If you would like more information on particpating in this group contact Jennifer Morgan at 1-828-460-3473. we look forward to you joining us in 2010-11.
